Welcome to my blog !
it had been awhile since I’ve been on here, just have been feeling more creative pen to paper writing than screen writing. I’ve also created a podcast and a YouTube where I hope to share more of myself to you all.
this year is coming to an end fast and it’s a great time to sit and write down all that we have accomplished and all you wish to accomplish going toward.
Goal setting is one way to start working on yourself and focusing on what you wish to accomplish in the future. above is a post guide I created that I find helpful when looking for ways to help breakdown goal setting.
In 5 simple steps, we can pick a goal which will help to fuel us.
1. What would you like to accomplish over the next 24 months?
I like to use 24 months because a year goes by faster than we think and for goal setting it usually takes more than a year to achieve anything.
When choosing a goal look at some tangible, something you are passionate for and something you believe will help you in the long run, aim to choose 1-2 goals something that you can do for yourself, personally and something that can work for you down the line ( think creatively ).
2. WHAT CAN YOU DO TO GET YOU CLOSER TO YOUR GOALS?!
these are activities, a tangible way to achieve your goals and something you can do during the 24 that will help and support your goals. your activities should be related to the goals as you’ll need them to stay accountable such as reading a book – if your goal was to become a better and wellversed speaker.
3. WRITE IT DOWN
I strongly encourage pen to paper! there’s something said about muscle memory and our ability to be more accountable and well remember things if we write them down. Now of course this is a personal choice so do what’s best for you.
4. SET A SCHEDULE!
Well if you find that you continually set goals and never achieve them it’s probably because 1. You don’t want it bad enough 2. You are being consistent
set aside a tangible schedule for you to work on your activities that will push you to success!
aim for working on your projects 30mins a day ( we all have 30minutes ) start SOMEWHERE and keep progressing.
5. DONT GIVE UP!
It won’t happen over night and there’s no magic pill the way to success in ANYTHING is to be CONSISTENT!
good luck x
